How to Eradicate Pests at Home with Natural and Safe procedures
One of the worst experiences that you may experience when you held a party inside your home is the fact that there might be cockroaches or fleas that will appear in your dining area. Although you can easily get rid of these pests by using pesticides, the chemicals coming from the pesticides contain products that are unhealthy especially to your children. Since this is alarming to your family’s health, most of us want to know the methods that are not harmful to living things but can still prevent pests.
During summer, you cannot deny the fact that ants are just everywhere. They can be found crawling alone or in group on your tables, cabinets, and even personal things. In order to prevent them from entering your home, you need to locate the ants’ point of entry. The moment you find the area of entry, you need to create a barrier immediately by simply spreading citrus oil, cayenne peppers or coffee grounds surrounding the spot. The reason is that ants will not be able to pass through these items. But if they are already in your home, your other option to prevent them from spreading is to place garlic cloves, spearmint leaves o cucumber peels on the areas where they are found. The need to place these items is due to the fact that they are ants repellant. Once you have control over the ants inside your home, you can now focus on the outdoor infestations. To manage the outdoor infestation, ant hills’ entrance must be sprinkled with cornmeal so that the ants will eat them and then they will die after a week because they cannot actually digest the cornmeal.
Another type of pest this is somehow considered to be the one of the most annoying ones are cockroaches and they, too, have natural pest control remedy. One way to repel cockroaches is by placing a catnip to the area where you find cockroaches most frequently. Another way to eradicate a population of these cockroaches is by simply soaking a bread with beer and have it eaten by these pests since they cannot digest beer and they will just die on their own accord. You can also spray the cockroach with soapy water because soapy water is able to break the exoskeleton of the cockroach causing it to die within minutes.
You can also apply natural pest control with mosquitoes. To prevent mosquitoes, remove their preferred habitat such as standing water in yards or in a basin. Another mosquito repellent is a solution that has at least 30 percent eucalyptus content and all you need to do is to apply it onto your skin.
